英語耳で有名な松澤喜好先生が「挫折なしで英会話ができる「英語耳」9つの法則」の中で多読のおすすめとしてあげていた「Holes」を読み始めました。
実は多読を始める前に買っていたのですが、挫折して Penguin Reader Level0 から多読を始めました。Level 4 まで Penguin Reader を読んでみてそろそろ読めるかもと思い、１年ぶりくらいに読んで見たところ分からない単語はかなり多いですが、なんとかストーリーは終えているので読んでみることにしました。

「チーズはどこへ消えた?」の原書「Who Moved My Cheese?」を読みました。日本語の翻訳本を以前読んだことがあるので、非常に読みやすかったです。全体で96ページと薄い本です。今回は図書館で借りて読んだのですが、内容もいい本なので購入にて何回も読もうと思っています。

Graded Readers も底をついたので、「チーズはどこへ消えた?」の原書「Who Moved My Cheese?」を図書館で借りました。早速読み始めたのですが、一度日本語版を読んでいますし、英語もそれほど難しくないので案外読みやすいです。
よい本なので原書を読んで見て読めそうであれば、原書を購入して手元に置き繰り返し原書で読んで見たいです。あと、ヒアリングにオーディオブックもよくすすめられているので、そのうちオーディオブックも試したいと思います。

PenguinReaders Level4 の「Gone with the Wind」を読み始めました。
有名な「風と共に去りぬ」ですね。恥ずかしながら映画も小説も読んだことがありません。英語で初体験です。よく見るとタイトルの下に「Part 1」て書いてある。続きがあるんですね。Part1 しか持ってないので買わないと。

PenguinReaders Level4 の「Gladiator」を読み始めました。
リドリースコット監督の映画「グラディエーター」です。アマゾンのレビューでも評判がいいので楽しみです。72ページで全部で12章に分かれているので読みやすいですね。元々、小説でも映画でも現代物の方が好きだったのでなんとなく後回しにしていましたが、問題ないかも。マクベスも面白かったし、名作はやはり名作ですね。

Penguin Readers Level4 の「Crime Story Collection」を読み始めました。
ミステリーの短編集です。他の Level4 のものよりもページ数があり（物語だけで92ページ）なんとなく読むのを後回しにしていました。しかし短編が8話収録されているので、ひとつづつの物語は割と短く、区切りのいいところまで手軽に読めます。
