ウェブ時代 5つの定理を読みました。特に英語の勉強とかではなく普通の読書のつもりだったのですが、この本は英語の名言が満載で英語の勉強にもなりますね。
2005年のスタンフォード大学の卒業式でのスティーブ・ジョブズの言葉です。

iKnow の Skype campaign で iKnow賞 と Dictation賞 ともに4位に入賞しました！iKnow からおとといメールが来ていたのですがすっかり見落としていました。
今朝、いつものように iKnow をやっていると新着メッセージが2件来ているのに気がつき、見てみると iKnow からの入賞のお知らせでした。
しかも、iKnow 賞と Dictation賞 ともに4位とは！他の人がブログで入賞した！とか書かれているのをみていいなぁとか思っていたら自分にも来ていたとは。。。
でも4位って各賞50名もいるのですね。だから昨日結果ページを見ても気がつかなかった訳だ。4位、5位は名前が掲載されないですからね。
いや～でもよかったッス。素直にうれしいですね。キャンペーンは特に意識せずに普段通りやっていてもらえたのが、うれしいです。
賞品はスカイプの3時間無料通話とヘッドセットです。2つ賞をもらったので全部で6時間の無料通話とヘッドセット2つですww

マザーテレサの生涯が書かれています。恥ずかしながらマザーテレサという名前は聞いたことがあるのですがどのような人なのか知りませんでした。ノーベル平和賞も受賞されているのですね。そんな知らなかったことを英語で知ったことがちょっとうれしかったです。

マイケルジョーダンの半生です。誕生から引退までが書かれています。やはり名前が多く出てくる英文は苦手ですね。。。ただ、ディカプリオやジュリアロバーツよりかはマイケルジョーダンの方をよく知っているのでその分読みやすかったです。
アマゾンで検索したのですが見つかりませんでした。多分新しいのが出るのでしょう。下の画像は私の持っている本とは表紙が違います。またレベルもアマゾンの説明には書かれていないのでレベル１かどうかも不明です。

iKnow の基礎英語ステップ４が終わりました。2月29日から始めて3月11日までかかったので12日間で終了しました。かかりすぎなのかな？
今日から基礎英語ステップ5を始めました。いつも新しいステップを始めると感じるのですがステップの最初は１レッスンが長くかかりますよね？しかも始めて出てくる単語なので（知っている単語ももちろん多いですが）余計にやるのが億劫になってしまう。。。
あと携帯からアプリでやると例文がないのとスペルを一部入力すればいいだけなので短時間で終わってしまいます。楽なんだけど身につくのはやはり PC からやった方が身につくように思う。外出時の待ち時間などに少しづつやっているのですが、携帯で復習みたいなのができると便利かなと思います。あ、それは Podcast で復習できるのか！ iKnow はよく出来ていますね。
